I put base plates under the legs to stabilise it for sitting on
I make it fot my 3 year old daughter, and look awesome. Now I can say that maybe the handle have to be in a higher position. Its a bit expensive considering that I can get a chinese horse for 30 dollars, but I don´t regret.
I recently purchased the plans for the rocking horse. Got them right away. I have printed them off, and had a good look at them, perfect, just what I wanted. I can't wait to use them.
Plans are easy to follow and a fun build! Look forward to putting the finishing touches on it.
So my wife comes to me and says. " You know our niece is having her baby shower, you think you might build her a rocking horse?
The hardest part of the whole project was containing my excitement when she ask.
Ok folks, this has been the most fun I've had in years. The worst part of the this build is seeing it leave to its new home!!!!!
I will be building more. Follow the plans. Think it through as you would any project. The take away is. Build one,,,,or a dozen
I would recommend this company
This was a great project for my dad and my son and I to do. I have a 12 year old and a 18 month old boy and was looking for something special to make for my youngest. This was perfect. The patters were easy to make and in our trim shop we had a great time making it. I hope to have this in the family for many years to come. Thank you!
This little pony really packs a punch full of fun. Not only in the shop building it, but in the house watching the kids play for hours. I liked that there was a separate PDF for the placement of the legs, this made it easier to align them to the rockers. I used a maple and a walnut accent . this added a touch of Class and style in my opinion. Danish oil finish with an additional coat of oil tainted with a varnish base.
