Like all of the plans offered by toymakingplans.com, these Hill Billy Hot Rod plans are wonderful. They are well written and will guide even the beginning builder through the process with great success. The models are play worthy and will offer just the right amount of detail for realism. Also, using parts that are readily available on line or at craft stores reduces the need to use a lathe or other power tools. Easily built with a scrollsaw. Go ahead, try them out. You won’t be disappointed. You can see a number of my builds on the Makers Forum on the Toymakingplans.com web site under the name pfwoorwerkz.
I recommend people to buy patterns from toymakers plans
Good plans and fun to customize
the only problem is i had to order parts to complete this project (wheels and axle pegs) i wish there would be a parts list before i buy the pattern so i could get the parts ordered so i am still waiting for the parts to complete this build but other than that you still deserve 5 stars. Hi Roger, Thank you for your wonderful review! On every toy plan set product page we include the wheel size(s) you'll need to build the toy in the product description. It also includes info about ordering online through www.craftparts.com. The plan set includes the specific stock # for ordering. If you'd like the stock number prior to purchasing the plan set please send us an email to email@example.com.
Ideal format so various sizes can be printed to suit the required child's age group. Just print them off in the adjusted size, and cut out
Have not yet used plans but sitting on the shelf for a project with a novice wood worker. They look good and simle and should be easy to follow.
although I have not built these yet however I find the PDF prints to be very clear and precise.
Well done John
